Money Museum Showcase
Show attendees have the opportunity to see some of the world’s most beautiful and valuable coins, paper money and related numismatic treasures not seen anywhere else.
The Museum Showcase features rare and historic items from the ANA’s Money Museum and items generously lent to the ANA from private collections.
Tyrants of the Nile
The latest Tyrant Collection exhibit – Tyrants of the Nile – will debut during the World’s Fair of Money. Valued at $5 million, this display presents a comprehensive timeline of Egyptian history that dates back millennia.
From the earliest coin struck in ancient Egypt to a 1938 King Farouk gold proof “Royal Wedding” 500 piastres, this exhibit is packed with show-stopping treasures from a dynamic and revered civilization.
1794 Flowing Hair Dollar
The finest known 1794 Flowing Hair dollar, believed by many experts to be the first silver dollar struck by the United States Mint, will be displayed for perhaps the last time for years to come. Insured for $15 million, it is going into a private collection after the 2024 convention. GreatCollections, the ANA’s Official Auctioneer, bought the coin for $12 million at the 2022 ANA World’s Fair of Money®.
The Specimen (SP)-66 1794 silver dollar, as well as a rare gold 1861 Paquet Reverse Double Eagle, and the most complete collection of Red Seal National Bank Notes (all with serial number one) will be part of a $30 million display courtesy of GreatCollections.
Collector Exhibits
At the ANA’s annual conventions, we invite our members to showcase their unique collections, share research, and exchange knowledge. It’s more than a display; it’s an invitation to journey through the rich tapestry of money’s history with fellow enthusiasts and the public.
This year’s marquee exhibit focuses on the fascinating stories of the “Dexter Dollar” and the 1804 dollar.
Banquet & Live Auction
Join us for the 133rd Anniversary Banquet & Live Auction! ANA Philanthropy Awards, Presidential Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award, Elvira Clain-Stefenelli Memorial Award and Hall of Fame Inductions, top Exhibit Awards and LIVE Auction. 7pm-10pm in the Hilton Rosemont/Chicago O’Hare Grand Ballroom. Coin of the Year Awards Ceremony
The Coin of the Year (COTY) program, a competition that recognizes outstanding coin designs worldwide, will hold its award ceremony during the convention. The event is free and open to the public.

Honoring donors for strengthening the association, recognition of ANA members & clubs receiving their 25-year to 75-year milestones, ANA Service Award recipients, Literary Award winners, Harry J. This seminar will teach counterfeit detection of Key Date and Mintmarked coins, U.S. gold coins, and the latest wave of deceptive Chinese-made counterfeits.

Sundman Lecture Series
The theme this year is “A Century of Change; 1924 to 2024,” which focuses on how money, its appearance, subject matter and the numismatic hobby has changed over the last 100 years.
The Symposium will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center on Wednesday, August 7, 10 am to 4:15 pm.

Money Talks
Learn from fellow numismatists, collectors and ANA members about their passions and latest research. Free and open to the public.
Presentations are 30- to 45- minute programs, including questions from the audience. They are scheduled on the hour.
Programs will be offered Thursday and Friday, August 8-9.

Ernie’s Treasure Treehouse
At Ernie’s Treasure Treehouse, some of the activities to help kids explore, study, and connect through numismatics. Kids attending the show will have the opportunity to play games and earn Hoot Loot to spend on numismatic items of their choice.

No one is permitted to record or reproduce such events, orally or visually, by digital recording, videotape recording, audio cassette recording, or by any other means for commercial purposes without the express consent of the ANA. No exhibit, performance or event presented at a World’s Fair of Money shall be photographed, videotaped, broadcast or recorded for commercial use or sale without the express consent of the ANA. This rule does not prohibit videotaping or other visual or oral recordings by an exhibitor at an ANA show made entirely within the booth space leased by that exhibitor.
Private, non-commercial photography and videography for personal use by visitors, exhibitors and vendors/dealers will be permitted in some areas of the convention hall and meeting rooms with the permission of those being photographed or videoed and/or permission of the dealer or exhibitor whose items are the subjects of the photo or video.
